BANGOR – Gerald “Jerry” F. Hall Jr., 62, went home to be with his Lord Nov. 2, 2010, surrounded by family and friends. He was born Nov. 1, 1948, in Camden, the son of Gerald and Louise (Wright) Hall. Jerry graduated from the University of Maine, Orono, and then served in the U.S. Coast Guard. He enjoyed traveling and fishing, but most of all loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. Jerry loved his work and was highly respected by his peers working in the pulp and paper industry up and down the East Coast. He was a hard worker and very generous to his fellow man. Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Susan (Lachance) Hall of Hampden; his mother, Louise (Wright) Goudreau of Brewer; his father, Gerald Hall Sr. of Union; his son and wife, Jay Hall and Kelly of Old Town; three brothers, Daniel Hall of St. Petersburg, Fla., Joseph Goudreau of Hampden and Herbiert Goudreau of Union; three sisters, Mary Burns of Winslow, Antoinia Walker of East Dublin, Ga., and Sandy Dever of Washington; five grandchildren, Ashley, Meaghan, Jacob, Madison and Chase; many nieces and nephews. Jerry was predeceased by his beloved brother, David. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, at Thomaston Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Sawyer, pastor, officiating. Interment will be at Rockville Cemetery, Rockport.
