OLD TOWN – Irene S. Tewhey, 78, died Nov. 3, 2010, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Nov. 20, 1931, in Carroll, the daughter of Everett and Agnas (Lyons) Severance. Irene is survived by sons, Dennis and his wife, Patricia, of Glenburn, James and his wife, Mary, of Illinois, Ronald and his wife, Tammy, of Bangor and Everett of Old Town; daughter, Denise and her husband, Douglas, of Bangor; 13 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one due in December. She will be fondly remembered by Lori Tewhey of Bangor and Julie Tewhey of Brewer. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, George; and son, Frederick. Private services will be held at a later date.
