MESA, Ariz. – Kelsey Taylor Kimball, 75, died Nov. 10, 2010, surrounded by loving family members at Odyssey Hospice after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. He was born and raised in Parkman, son of Erald and Alice Kimball (Leavitt). Kelsey left Parkman to serve in the U.S. Air Force where he served for nine years during the Korean War. After leaving the military, Kelsey worked for Ameron Pipe for many years in California and Arizona. Kelsey and Pam also operated Kimball’s Trading Post, Sangerville, where he touched many people’s lives. Kelsey had a passion for animals and spent the last part of his life with his three Maltese dogs, Katie, Nick and Ali. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and his dogs. He leaves behind his wife of 28 years, Pamela; his children, Kelly Anthony Kimball, Kym Baron, and Brook Baron and his wife, Susie; six grandchildren, Nicole, Danika, Caleb, Micaela, Kyra and DJ; one great-granddaughter, Kendall; his sister, Melba Cote and her husband, Bob; his brother, Phillip “Ping” Kimball and Nancy; as well as his loving mother-in-law, Dorothy Daggett. He was predeceased by his parents, Erald and Alice Kimball; and his brother, Wendall Kimball. As per Kelsey’s request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Desert Southwest Chapter of The Alzheimer’s Association. His family and friends will walk in his memory Nov. 13 at the Alzheimer’s Memory Walk in Phoenix.
