OAKFIELD – Judith A. London, 70, died Nov. 15, 2010, with her family at her side at home. She was born Feb. 11, 1940, in Houlton, the daughter of Herschel and Iva (Anderson) Cummings. Judy was a wonderful mother, grandmother and mammie, who enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping, camping and four-wheeling into Haynesville. Her favorite time of year was Christmas. She is survived by two sons, Douglas and Colleen London of Houlton and Jonathan and Tracie London of Oakfield; four daughters, Julie McMannus and Craig of Merrill, Jody Ritchie of Oakfield, Jennifer Stevens and Willard of Charlton, Mass., and Heidi Nelson and Daniel of Oakfield; 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Cummings and Mary of Portland and Michael Cummings and Cheryl of Houlton; one sister, Phyllis Ryan of Oakfield; two brothers-in-law, Ronald London of Houlton and Charles London of Bangor; five sisters-in-law, Darlene London of Houlton, Jean Chase of Bangor, Charlene Gallop of Houlton, Trudy Gallop and Gary of Bangor and Margaret Fowler and Kevin of Bangor; several nieces and nephews; and close family friends, Donny and Linda Scott and family. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Ralph; one grandson, Tyler Ritchie; and a brother-in-law, John. A special thank you from the family to Diane Lane of Visiting Nurses of Aroostook, thank you for all your care and compassion. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Sterling Lawrence officiating.
