OLD TOWN – Anita Blanche (Morancy) Ste. Marie, 83, died Nov. 20, 2010, after a brief illness. She was born Dec. 10, 1926, to Leontine Madore and Alfred Morancy. Anita graduated from Old Town High School in 1946. She was employed at White’s Canoe Co. and also worked nine years for the family of Braley Gray. She was an active member of Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. The things that brought her great joy were cooking, gardening, crocheting doilies, family gatherings, coloring with her grandchildren, and cheering on her favorite teams – the Patriots and the Red Sox. Anita is survived by her husband of 49 years, Paul R. Ste. Marie; children, Sandra Allen of Old Town, Sharon Veino and her husband, Corey, of Greenbush, John Ste. Marie and his wife, Jan, of Freemont, N.H., Sherry Terra and her husband, Joseph, of Glenburn and Shelly Brown and her husband, Louis, of Lincoln; sister, Mary Doucette; grandchildren, Pauline, Ambre, Stephen, Renee, Brandon, Travis, Ashley Rose, Abigail, Hannah and Autumn; stepgrandchild, Dominick; great-grandchildren, Cassandra, Breanna and Christian; great-great-granddaughter, Kayli; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Anita was predeceased by her sisters, Germaine, Yvonne and Jean; and her aunt, Margrete LeBlanc. Family and friends are invited to call 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town, where a prayer service will be lead 6:30 p.m. by Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, at Holy Family Church, Old Town. Interment will be afterward at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Old Town. Afterward, all are invited to a light luncheon at the parish hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in support of the family, care of Paul Ste. Marie/Sandra Allen.
