VAN BUREN – Huguette “Huey” C. (Pelletier) Deschenes, 67, passed away Nov. 16, 2010, in Bangor. She was born June 22, 1943, the daughter of Florent and Alberta (Perreault) Pelletier. Huey was a woman with a magnetic personality, creative and unselfish even in death. She enjoyed cooking, quilting for family and friends, and karaoke and dancing were her passions. She loved being an entertainment volunteer for the Veterans Affairs and nursing rehabilitation facility. Truly devoted to her family and friends, she went out of her way to please those around her. Her final years were her happiest as she had finally realized true love. She was predeceased by her parents; four sisters and one brother. Huey is survived by her children, Donald D. Deschenes and wife, Mary McDonald, of Woodstock, Ontario, Nancy Moreau and husband, Jean Paul, of Grand Falls, New Brunswick, Aldeo Deschenes and wife, Jessica, of Kingston, N.H., David Deschenes and wife, Donna, of Seabrook, N.H., and Patsy Nicastro and husband, Christopher, of Gloucester, Mass.; her special friend, Cecil Vick of Van Buren; her siblings, Normand Ruest of Seigas, New Brunswick, and Fernand Michaud of Woodstock, Ontario; her grandchildren, Jessica Lee, Cory, Sela, Bryan, Cindy, Monique, Matthew, Kadynce, Cassie, Terry, Andrew, Christopher Jr. and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Scott and Makenzie; several nieces, nephews and cousins. No services will be held at her request. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the local Toys for Tots, American Heart Association or Canadian Heart Association or Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
