MILLINOCKET – Susan Ann Pennell, 66, died Thursday, Nov. 25, 2010, with her family surrounding her, after a brief illness. She was born March 30, 1944, in Millinocket, to Gerald and Marguerite (LePage) Hutchinson. Susan was a graduate of St. Martin of Tours High School, Class of 1962. She also graduated from Plus School of Business, Portland, in 1963. Susan married William C. Pennell Jr., June 20, 1964. Susan worked for Great Northern Paper Co., Welby’s Super Drug and owned Sue’s Gift Shop, Millinocket. She also loved doing crafts. Susan enjoyed her grandchildren and family, and was always there for anyone who needed anything. Susan is survived by her four children, Julie Marie Albert, Amy Louise Cutliffe, William C. Pennell III and Cathy-Jo Pennell; eight grandchildren, Crystal Lynn Cutliffe, Susan Ann Albert, Rachael Marie Cutliffe, Miranda Elizabeth Albert, William C. Pennell IV, Trevor Joseph Pennell, Cameron Todd Fowler and Dylan Scott Fowler; a great-granddaughter, Layla Mae Couture; two brothers, Gerald Hutchinson Jr. and wife, Patty, and Peter Hutchinson and wife, Barbara; a sister, Mary Booker; a brother-in-law, Dennis Pennell and wife, Nadine; a sister-in-law, Jeannette Crosby; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She will also be missed by a very special cat, Tiger. In addition to her parents and her husband, Susan was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Donald Crosby. Susan’s family thanks Susan’s cousin, Lynn (Mackin) Beaulier; and Susan’s sister, Mary Booker, who were there whenever Susan needed help. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church of Christ the Divine Mercy Parish, 19 Colby St., Millinocket, with the Rev. Joel Cyr, pastor, presider. Spring interment will be at Millinocket Cemetery.
