HAMPDEN – Gregg and Mary Carter of Calais are pleased to announce the engagement of their youngest daughter, Jessica Carter of Hampden, to Jessefa Murphy of Hampden. Jessefa is the son of Calvin and Debra Murphy of Bangor. Jessica is a graduate of Calais High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in human development and family relations, and a master’s degree in special education from the University of Maine in Orono. She is a special education teacher at Veazie Community School. Jessefa graduated from Bangor High School and is attending the University of Maine in Orono, where he is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in construction management. He is working as a quality control manager for Atlantic Defense Constructors. The couple is planning an October 2011 wedding.
