BREWER – Florence Williams, 81, died Dec. 6, 2010, after a seven-year struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born June 25, 1929, in Old Town, to Ernest and Mabel Bilodeau. She graduated from Old Town High School in 1947 and married her sweetheart, Merlin “Moe” Williams, in 1949. From then on she lived in Brewer and dedicated her life to her family. Florence is survived by her husband, Moe; son, Merlin Jr. and his wife, Carolyn, of Southwest Harbor; daughter, Lisa Black of Veazie; her grandchildren, Erik and Katie of Veazie; and a very special “sister,” Elaine Williams. Florence was predeceased by her brother, Paul. The family thanks Iris and Mike Wood of Bucksport for their loving care during the last months of her life. A private burial is planned for spring 2011.
