BREWER – Robert A. Leali, 68, formerly of Searsport, died Dec. 9, 2010, in Brewer. He was born Nov. 4, 1942, in Castine, son of the late Andrew A. and Henritta (Libby) Leali. Mr. Leali attended school in Stonington and graduated from Stonington High School, Class of 1960. He worked for several years for Grenci & Ellis Stonecutters, Stonington. He worked most of his life in the lobstering industry. Mr. Leali had battled multiple sclerosis since 1978. He is survived by a son, Andrew Lealii and his wife, Melissa, of Palmyra; a stepson, Sione Taungatua and his wife, Kara, of Prospect; three daughters, Bobbie Jo Gillway and her husband, James, of Searsport, Wendy Tripp and husband, Lawrence, of Frankfort and Deborah Richards and husband, Jeffery, of Belfast; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family extends a thank-you to Brewer Rehabilitation & Living Center and St. Joseph Hospital, Bangor, for the care provided to Robert. There will be a graveside service in the spring at Mount Cemetery, Burnt Cove.
