CARIBOU – Lynn M. Levasseur, 54, died unexpectedly Dec. 12, 2010, at her Washburn residence, after a period of declining health. She was born Oct. 6, 1956, in Caribou, daughter of Lucien and Arlene (Sirois) Tardiff Sr. Lynn was a 1974 graduate of Caribou High School and was employed with the civil service at Loring Air Force Base as a grounds crew supervisor with the 42nd Civil Engineering Division. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, and was a loving and devoted mother to her children. She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Arlene and Lew Kidney of Eagle Lake; three sons, C.J. Bernard of Ottawa, Shawn Bernard and Louis Levasseur Jr., both of Caribou; daughter, Nanette Levasseur; stepdaughter, Jessica Levasseur, both of Caribou; three brothers, Lucien Tardiff Jr. of Rocky Hill, Conn., Michael Tardiff of Windsor, Conn., and Julian Kidney of Fort Kent; her stepmother, Elaine Tardiff of Presque Isle; three grandchildren, Alexia Durant, Caiah Bernard and Haley Levasseur; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Lynn was predeceased by her father. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, at Parish of the Precious Blood Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
