MILLINOCKET and PROSPECT – Jody Rae (Conley) Salmen, 59, passed away Friday, Dec. 24, 2010, at her daughter’s home in Prospect. She was born Sept. 3, 1951, in Portland, the daughter of John J. and Constance E. (Clowes) Conley. Jody will be remembered as a very likeable and popular person who was always fun to be around. She was a dancer like her mother and a singer like her father. Jody was also a great seamstress and loved animals. She was an avid sports fan and faithfully followed the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. Jody was a wonderful mother who loved her children and grandchildren and drew great satisfaction spending time with them. Jody is survived by two children, Erin Salmen of Colorado and Prospect, and Derek Salmen of Denver; two grandchildren, Tyler Salmen of Colorado and Prospect, and Trinity Lyons of Prospect; two sisters, Leanna Grant and her husband, Merle, and Sherry Burks; a brother, Mike Conley and Valerie Reil, all of Millinocket; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents. Friends are invited to visit with the family 1-2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 1, at Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket, with memorial services beginning 2 p.m. with the Rev.
