HOULTON – Harold James Adams, 77, husband of Marilyn (Carlson) Adams, passed away peacefully Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, with his family by his side at home. Harold was diagnosed with esophageal cancer three months prior to his death. He was born in Smyrna, son of Herbert Nadeau and Madeline Lloy. Harold attended schools in Smyrna and Houlton, served in the National Guard for six years and was employed several years as produce manager at Sampson’s, and then as a custodian for Houlton High School. He is survived by his wife of Houlton; daughters, Lynn Skehan and husband, Jimmy, and children, Jasmine and her husband, Bruce, and James, Donna Lord and husband, Weston, and children, Isaiah and Lucas Gillis, Deborah Rairdon and children, Jessica and husband, Chris, and Sasha, and great-grandson, Caden, Sue Henderson and children, Rebecca and Rob, and Deborah Curran and daughter, Kelly; his brother, Herbert “Duke” Lloy and his wife, Linda, of Perry, Ohio; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents; and his stepdad, Gordan Lloy. Friends may call 11 a.m. until the time of service 1 p.m. Friday at Dunn Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Robertson officiating.
