MADAWASKA – Joan M. Peterson, 73, died peacefully Dec. 27, 2010, surrounded by her family at an Edmundston, New Brunswick, hospital. She was born Nov. 30, 1937, in South Dakota, the daughter of Mark L. and Myrtle M. (Kane) Peterson Sr. She is survived by her father, Mark L. Peterson Sr. of Madawaska; one brother, Mark L. Peterson Jr. and his wife, Pierrette, of St. Agatha; one special niece, Debbie and her husband, Ken Martin, of Sinclair; one special nephew, Michael and his wife, Sandy, of Madawaska; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Annie; and all the staff at Country Village. She was predeceased by her mother, Myrtle; and one brother, Lawrence. Relatives and friends may call 1-3 p.m. Thursday at Michaud Funeral Home, St. Agatha, where a service will be held 3 p.m.
