PALMYRA – Patricia Richards Temple, 87, passed on to be with the Lord Jan. 11, 2011, at a Pittsfield health care facility. She was born Feb. 13, 1923, in Campbellton, New Brunswick, a daughter of George and Muriel (Libby) Richards. She graduated from Newport High School, Class of 1940, and married Arnold Willard Temple of Palmyra, her high school sweetheart, April 30, 1941. Pat was a lifelong resident of Palmyra, where she and her husband raised their four children. Pat will be remembered for her wonderful loving spirit and the gift of her music that she so joyfully shared with loved ones. She knew no strangers and shared her love and music with everyone in her life. She is survived by her two daughters, two sons and their families, Mary Ann Temple Lizotte and her husband, Lionel, of Clinton, Marilyn Temple Tardy and her husband, Robert, of Palmyra, Maurice Willard Temple and Lisa Guilinelli of Palmyra, and Michael Arnold Temple and his wife, Nancy, of Hampden; 10 grandchildren, Stephanie Temple Lizotte of South Royalston, Mass., Amanda Ambrose of West Boxford, Mass., Joshua Abraham Tardy of Newport, Jason Isaac Tardy of Palmyra, Jared Levi Tardy of Byfield, Mass., Jessica Temple Tardy of Cambridge, Mass., Adam Gabriel Temple of Plymouth, Lucus Eli Temple of Jonesport, Kaili Temple Dilts of Manhattan, N.Y., and Alex Michael Temple of Long Beach, N.Y.; and eight great-grandchildren, all of whom had the privilege of knowing their loving “Great Gram.” She was predeceased by her husband in 1998. There will be no visiting hours at this time. Private spring graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at Palmyra Village Cemetery.
