AUGUSTA, Maine — The state of Maine is going to collect $410,000 from its longtime computer supplier over the next year to settle an overcharging complaint.
The Department of Administrative and Financial Services sued Managed Technology Partners and an affiliate, CBE Technologies, claiming they had collected excessive profits on state contracts from 2004 to 2008.
The state’s original complaint argued that the computer supplier violated an agreement not to charge the state more than 5.75 percent above vendor invoice for computer equipment.
The money is to be paid to the state in three installments.
The Kennebec Journal says the state continues to honor its contract and buy computers from CBE.
