MEDWAY – Joseph L. “Joey” Ouellette, 30, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011, at his home. He was born April 10, 1980, in Millinocket, son of Louis J. and Patricia A. (McLaughlin) Ouellette. Joey was a graduate of Schenck High School, Class of 1998, and Eastern Maine Technical College, Class of 2000, where he learned the trade of welding and was a state certified welder. He loved hunting, fishing and any outdoor activities. He cherished the time he spent with his grandparents and they held a special place in his heart. Joey will be remembered as an awesome and dedicated father to his three children, and will be missed by them, his family and friends. In addition to his parents, Louie Ouellette and his special friend, Jodi Healey, of Medway, and Trish London and her husband, David, of Cumberland, Joey is survived by his paternal grandparents, Betty and Louis Ouellette; his three children, Alexander Joseph Ouellette, Nathan Charles Ouellette and Abigail Ann Marie Ouellette; the mother of his children, Erica Merritt; two brothers, Jason Ouellette and his wife, Lyndsey Ouellette, of East Millinocket, and Matthew Ouellette of Medway; his stepmother, Tammy Ouellette of Old Town; his close friend, Clara Otis of East Millinocket; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Walter and Yvonne McLaughlin. Friends are invited to visit with the family 1-3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, at Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket, with funeral services beginning 3 p.m. with Deacon Danny Watson officiating.
