BROOKSVILLE – Frances Kathleen Grindal, 79, died Jan. 14, 2011, at Penobscot Nursing Home. She was born June 26, 1931, in Brooksville, daughter of Clyde and Agnes (Fowler) Limeburner. Frances attended school in Brooksville and graduated from George Stevens Academy. In 1950 Frances married Fred O. Grindal. She enjoyed embroidering, feeding the birds, gardening and spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Paquette and husband, Ernest, of Woodstock, Conn.; sons, Clyde Grindal of Granby, Conn., and Philip Grindal and wife, Judy, of Coventry, Conn.; grandchildren, Erik Paquette and wife, Hannah, Carrie Latour and husband, Steve, Ritchie Grindal and wife, Melissa, Brittany Grindal, Ashley Grindal and John Grindal; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Aimee Grindal; brothers, Dennis Limeburner and wife, Janet, of Brooksville and Bradley Limeburner and wife, Rowena, of Sargentville; sisters, Alice Adams of Hampden and Betty Todd of Texas; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband; and daughter, Kathy Lescell. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, at Jordan-Fernald, 141 South St., Blue Hill.
