CALAIS – J. Petrea Mahar, 65, passed away Jan. 12, 2011. Petrea was born April 11, 1945, in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, daughter of the late Joseph and Gertrude Ross. She grew up in Milltown, New Brunswick. Petrea worked at Calais Regional Hospital and retired after many years of service. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, David; her daughter, Nancy Ann Martarono and husband, Steven; four grandchildren, Steven, Joseph, Dominic and Michael; and two brothers, Fred and Nellie, and Carl and Sue Ross. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 21, at Calais Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to hospice or a charity of choice would be appreciated.
