STILLWATER – M. Wanda Nickerson, 78, wife of the late Ora J. Nickerson Jr., went to be with the Lord Jan. 25, 2011, after a long illness. Wanda was born in Caribou, the daughter of Mary (McGinn) and Edward Kinney.

Wanda worked for more than 28 years at Thornton’s Sport Shop, Milford, as a bookkeeper.

She is survived by her beloved son, Frederick and his wife, Denise, and grandsons, Corey, Michael and Noah; son, Bryant and grandchildren, Tonya, Melody, James and Debra, all in the Old Town area; faithful sister, Una Rae and her husband, Harry Isbister, of Oakland; brother, Joseph Kinney of Townsend, Mass.; brother, Gregory Kinney of Carolton, Texas; and faithful nieces, Carol Ann Flannigan-Bertrand, Janet Pete and Judith Nickerson. She also wanted to acknowledge two very special longtime friends, Gladys Merritt of Orono and Ruth Flynn of Milford. In addition to her loving husband of many years, she was predeceased by her sister, Sondra Gustafson of Caribou; and brother, Gerald Kinney of Portland.

A memorial service in celebration of her life will be announced at a later date.
