ORONO – Helen Dennis, 88, died Jan. 29, 2011, at Maine Veterans Home, Bangor. She was born Dec. 10, 1922, in Chicago, and spent her early years in an orphanage.
Helen was a World War II Coast Guard veteran.
She is survived by her son, Michael David Healy of Bokeelia, Fla. She was predeceased by her second husband, Edwin P. Dennis. Appreciation is made to close friends, Elwood Ede and Jean Devoe of Orono and the American Legion.
