VEAZIE – Robert “Bob” James Pullen, 68, died peacefully Feb. 6, 2011, at a Bangor health care facility. He was born April 17, 1942, in Skowhegan, son of James and Lee (Cookson) Pullen.
Bob graduated from Bangor High School, Class of 1961. He then served his country in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War. Bob worked as a pipe fitter all of his life. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed times hunting and fishing. Bob was a past member of Veazie Salmon Club.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by daughters, Abigail Pullen of Watertown, Mass., and Heather Pullen of Orono; two grandchildren, Emma and Samuel; a brother, Richard Pullen and wife, Mary Alice, of North Carolina; longtime companion, Marie Bacon of Veazie and her children, Gena and Randy; a nephew, Mike Baker; very special friends, Al Holmes and Bruce Flagg; special cousins, Robbie, Mary, Johnny and Danny; and his dear canine companions, Earnhardt and Little Gracie.
