BANGOR – Eleanor M. Curran, 85, wife of the late William Curran, died Feb. 10, 2011, at a Bangor health care center. She was born May 23, 1925, in Brewer, the daughter of Harry and Emma Marshall.

Eleanor attended Bangor schools. She worked for several years at Freese’s department store and taught ceramics classes from her home in Bangor and Brewer. She enjoyed various crafts, including painting, knitting and plastic canvas.

Surviving are four children, Harold N. Curran of Portsmouth, N.H., Linda L. Round and her husband, Fred, of Bangor, Maureen T. Treworgy and her husband, Richard, of Brewer and Beverly A. Tatum of Rochester, N.H.; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by three children, Eleanor, William and Diane Curran; and a granddaughter, Colleen Babcock.

Family and friends may visit 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 69 State St., Brewer, where a service honoring her life will be held 1 p.m. as the visitation concludes.
