CUSHING – Kathie Johnson, 68, died peacefully Friday, Feb. 4, 2011, surrounded by adored family and cherished friends at home.
She is survived by her husband, Marc; daughters, Nicole and Kirsten; grandson, Sebastian; sister, Marjorie Van Name; brother, Thomas Daniel; nephews, Gregory and Timothy Van Name; niece, Lindy Richelo; and great-nieces, Amanda and Tara Richelo.
A longtime resident of Chicago, she spent 35 summers in Maine, and became a full-time resident of Cushing in 2007. Those who knew her will remember her infectious good cheer, positive energy, indomitable spirit, fierce determination and loving nature.
A memorial celebration will be scheduled in the near future. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Bay Chamber Concerts and Community Music School, P.O. Box 599, Rockport, ME 04856.
