FORT KENT – Clyde Scaggs, 61, died unexpectedly Feb. 10, 2011, at his home. He was born March 20, 1949, in Dayton, Ky., the son of Homer and Donna (Blunt) Scaggs.
Clyde served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a parishioner at St. Louis Catholic Church, attending Mass every Sunday. He loved sports and was active in supporting local sporting events in Fort Kent. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by two sons, Tom and Chapin Scaggs of Orono; five brothers and sisters, Sharon Jackson of Thomson, Ky., Paula Scaggs of Maelia, Ohio, Patricia Whalen of Bellevue, Ky., Kenneth Scaggs of Fort Thomas, Ky., and Nancy Regensburger of Grant County, Ky.; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents.
Friends are invited to attend a vigil service 2:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 14, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Arrangements are a service of Daigle Funeral Home, 14 East Main St., Fort Kent.
