ORLAND – Dorothy A. Allen, 46, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, at home. She was born Oct. 8, 1964, in Bangor, a daughter of Kenneth E. Allen Sr. and Norma A (Bradbury) Allen.
Dorothy had a great sense of humor, she loved to spend time with family and friends, and she enjoyed music, motorcycles and her cats. She was an avid New England Patriots fan. She worked many years for Eastern Fine Paper Co., then Len Fodder’s and more recently Car Quest.
She is survived by her brothers and sister, Kenneth E. Allen Jr. and his wife, Julie, Katherine Freeman and her husband, James, all of Bucksport, Terry Allen of Orland, and Brian Allen and his wife, Julee, also of Bucksport; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one brother, Patrick S. Allen.
Family and friends will gather for visitation 6-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18, at Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport, where a funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, with Father Bruce Siket. Interment will be in the spring at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery, Bucksport.
