KING GEORGE, Va. – Lorena Caroline Norton, 93, of King George County, Va., wife of the late Hiram T. Norton, passed away Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011.
Lorena was a member of Daughters of America Council No. 26, Bethel Baptist Church and attended Round Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Edna Dobson and her husband, Clarence, of King George, Va.; two sons, Joseph Norton of Bridgewater, Mass., and Thomas Norton and his wife, Jerri, of Somersworth, N.H.; a sister, Charlene Burton of Anaheim, Calif.; a son-in-law, Thomas “Ted” Matta of Brockton, Mass.; 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Nelson and Hattie Loring Gordius; three brothers, Joseph, Mitchell and William Gordius; and four sisters, Dorothy Johnson, Marguerite “Peggy” Rector, Mary Conners and Frances Olson.
