HOULTON – Walter Anderson, 88, died Feb. 23, 2011, in Houlton. He was born Sept. 22, 1922, in Irish Settlement, New Brunswick, the son of Elwood and Amanda (Bates) Anderson.
He was a member of Church of Good Shepard, Houlton.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Beulah (Hiltz) Anderson of Houlton; four children, Junior Keddy of Fredericton, New Brunswick, Gary Walter Anderson, Judy Marie Duprez and David Wayne Anderson, all of Houlton; three grandchildren, Amanda, Daniel and Matthew; two great-grandchildren, Isaiah James and Daniel Joseph; and two sisters, Violet Glidden and her husband, Cedric, of Houlton, and Marguerite Carson and her husband, Ralph, of Woodstock, New Brunswick. He was predeceased by his parents; one daughter, Debrah; one grandson, Joseph Deprez; and three brothers, Ralph, Miles and Gerald.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Church of Good Shepard with the Rev.
