CHERRYFIELD – Carol Ann Fickett, 56, passed away Feb. 20, 2011, with her beloved, loving family by her side. She is now in heaven with the Lord and angels. She was born March 11, 1954, in Bangor.
Carol was a very hard worker but always found the time for her family and friends, whom she adored. She resided in Cherryfield for most of her life with Larry, her loving and devoted husband of 38 years. She and her husband enjoyed working around their home, their gardens and traveling throughout the state. Carol was extremely proud of her family, especially her daughters and grandchildren, for whom she cared deeply. Carol’s last place of employment was The Jackson Laboratory, Bar Harbor, where she worked for 13 years. There she met her very special, extended “family,” as well as countless friends whom all held a special place in her heart.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Lawrence “Larry” J. Fickett; three loving daughters and their partners, Laurie Fickett and Christopher Smith, Melissa Fickett and Russell Pike, and Heather Fickett and Corey Skeate; four beautiful grandchildren, along with a large extended family.
Graveside services will take place this spring at Rock Maple Cemetery, Harrington, with the specific date to be announced at a later time. A celebration of life will be held immediately after the graveside service at her home in Cherryfield.
