VEAZIE – Ernest “Ernie” T. Pyle, 65, died unexpectedly Feb. 26, 2011, at a Bangor hospital. He was born May 31, 1945, in Bangor, the son of Hadley and Vivian (Moors) Pyle.
Ernie graduated from Brewer High School in 1963. He worked for the Bangor Daily News, then WLBZ TV and WABI TV, and in 1979 started his own business, Always Flowers, with his wife, Brenda, retiring Jan. 31, 2011. He loved working with his hands, decorating, building, and also going on cruises with his wife. Ernie was a member of Ralph J. Pollard Lodge AF & AM, Orrington.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Brenda (Salisbury) Pyle of Veazie; two sons, Aaron Pyle and his girlfriend, Amy Trask, of Bangor and Rob Pyle and his wife, Nicky, of Hermon; his brother, Hadley Pyle and his wife, Debbie, of Jacksonville, Fla.; his sister, Veniene and her husband, Richard Morse, of Chemo Pond; his brother-in-law, Paul Pelletier of Milford; two grandsons, Zachary and Ethan; several nieces, nephews; his four-legged friend, Kasey; special friends, Anne Shepley, Cindy and Will Sockwell, Mike, Ann and Brad Kenney, Judy and Dick Southard, Sandy and Sterling Bretton; and all his poker buddies. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Elizabeth and her husband, Francis Michaud; and sister, Evelyn Pelletier.
