BAILEYVILLE – Gary Neal Croman, 74, passed away Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011, with family close by at his home. Gary was born April 19, 1937, in Muncy, Pa., to Donald and Ruth (Sheets) Croman.
He married Shirley (Donovan) Croman March 12, 1956. Gary was a private, laid back man. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and time spent at Tomah Camp doing just that was time well spent. Gary worked for V.L. Tammaro Co., Baileyville. He was with the company from its origination, working 44 years as a master oil burner technician. He took life with a grain of salt – never overly excited by much. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Gary was predeceased by his brother, Ronald Croman. Survivors include his wife of nearly 55 years, Shirley Croman; four children, Richard Croman of Presque Isle, Brian Croman and his wife, Lois, of Old Town, Lynne Mac Arthur and her husband, Colon, of Union and Kevin Croman of Baileyville; seven grandchildren, Jeremy, Tony, Todd, Jeff, Chris, Corey and Kyle; and two great-grandchildren, Tristyn and Aidon.
A graveside service will be held later in the spring at Woodland Cemetery, Baileyville. Condolences and memories may be shared at
