FREEDOM – Eula M. Knowlton, 85, passed away Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011, at Country Manor Nursing Home, Coopers Mills. She was born Nov. 3, 1925, in Albion, daughter of the late Oscar and Katie (Fuller) Bragg.

She graduated from Besse High School, Albion. She married Theodore “Brother” Knowlton in 1948, and resided in Freedom for the last 63 years. Eula was a member of Dirigo Grange and Freedom Congregational Church. She enjoyed going to camp, gardening and reading. She loved talking to friends and family on the phone.

Eula was predeceased by her husband; grandson, Travis M. Knowlton; a brother, Herman Bragg; and a sister, Marion (Bragg) Fernald. She is survived by her son, Michael and wife, Amy, of Greenville; grandchildren, Luke and fiancee, Jaime Reuter, of Scottsdale, Ariz., Matthew of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Rebecca of Scottsdale, Ariz.; sisters in-law, Mary Curtis of Belfast and Ruth Drew of Knox; special niece, Kay Tozier of Unity; special friends, Hank Elkins of Knox and Diane Grevais of Oakland; several nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held 1-3 p.m. March 12 at Freedom Congregational Church, Freedom. Arrangements are by Lawry Brothers Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 107 Main St., Fairfield. Condolences may be expressed at
