In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his stepfather, Donald Shaw. He is survived by a sister, Mary Parkhurst of Mesa, Ariz.; three half sisters, Donna Hillman and Sandra Strout, both of Hermon, and Jane Robinson of Apple Valley, Calif.; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and his cat, Tiger. The family especially thanks his caregivers.
