GREENBUSH – Marjorie May Kneeland, 78, wife of the late Harold M. Kneeland, passed away March 4, 2011, in Greenbush. She was born Dec. 7, 1932, in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of George and Laura (Butler) Condon.

Marjorie was a very faithful member of Faith Bible Church, Olamon, where she sang in the choir, and worked in Vacation Bible School and Good News Club. She enjoyed reading and volunteering at school, and had worked at the University of Maine, Orono, and the tree farm in Greenbush.

She is survived by her children, Keith Kneeland and his wife, Julie, of Greenbush and Maryellen Thornton and her husband, Timothy, of Phenix City, Ala.; five grandchildren, Keith Kneeland Jr. of Greenbush, Gloria Kneeland and Matthew Blaine of Bangor, Brian Kneeland of Brewer, Nicole Thornton and Tiffany Thornton, both of Phenix City, Ala.; a sister, Fern MacDonald of Passadumkeag; sisters-in-law, Vella Condon and Priscilla Condon; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, George Condon Jr., Gerald Condon, Irving Condon and Hermon Condon; sisters-in-law, Clara Kneeland, Gladys Bean and Annelise Condon; and a brother-in-law, Ted MacDonald.

Friends may call 1-3 p.m. Tuesday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, with funeral services held 3 p.m. with Pastor Bruce Stevens officiating. Spring interment will be at Gould’s Ridge Cemetery, Passadumkeag. All are invited for refreshments at Old Town United Baptist Church after the funeral.
