BANGOR – Elizabeth A. Kennedy, 78, wife of Joseph P. Kennedy, died March 10, 2011, surrounded by her family at her home. She was born July 28, 1932, in Ludlow, the daughter of Charles A. and Medston (Victory) Barker.

Elizabeth worked for many years for Emple Knitting Mill. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to knit and play bingo.

Surviving are her husband of 33 years of Bangor; one daughter, Medston “Midge” Hamm and her husband, Mark, of Brewer; two granddaughters, Mallory Hamm Wilson-Frascone and her husband, Christopher, and Miranda Hamm, all of Brewer; a great-grandson, Kristopher Adam Pinkham Jr. of Brewer; two sisters, Valla Hall of Brewer and Charlotte Dell of New Mexico; one brother, Frank Murphy of Indiana; and four stepdaughters. She was predeceased by her parents, one sister and five brothers.

Family and friends may visit noon-2 p.m. Monday, March 14, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 69 State St., Brewer, where a service honoring her life will be held 2 p.m. as the visitation concludes. The Rev. Robert T. Carlson will preside and burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor.
