LAKEVIEW PLANTATION, Maine — Three break-ins at camps on Schoodic Lake are under investigation by the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Department.

A lock on a shed was broken to gain entry to a camp on Fire Road 8 earlier this month. The camp owner reported that a crowbar, a railroad jack, extension cords and shovels were missing, according to Sheriff’s Department investigator Jamie Kane.

A water pump and a generator were among items taken during a break-in at a camp shed on Howard Point Road, Kane said this week.

A third break-in was reported recently on Loon Lane, but it is unknown what, if anything, was taken, he said.
