ASHLAND – Avis R. McKee, 97, died April 3, 2011, at a Presque Isle nursing home. She was born Sept. 9, 1913, in Oxbow, the daughter of Emery and Mae (Anderson) Swett.
She was a member of the Tillikum Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, Ashland.
Avis is survived by two stepsons, William McKee of Ashland and Richard McKee of Thomaston, Conn.; and four stepgrandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence McKee, in 2006; and by a stepson, Robert McKee, in 1970.
Relatives and friends may call 2-3 p.m. Tuesday at Stimson-Ouellette Funeral Home, 114 Exchange St., Ashland, where a funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday with Pastor Nathan Gardiner officiating.
