WINN – Laura C. Corro, 94, wife of the late Richard Corro, died April 22, 2011, at a Lincoln hospital. She was born Dec. 14, 1916, in East Millinocket, the daughter of Fred and Lena (Fortine) Hunter.

Laura attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Winn. She enjoyed cooking.

She is survived by two sons, James Corro of Winn and Barry Corro and his wife, Marlene, of Lincoln; a sister, Melvina McAdam; a brother, Lawrence Hunter, both of East Millinocket; two grandchildren, Aaron Corro and his wife, Carolyn, and Laura McGinley; two great-grandchildren, Tyler Corro and Lucas McGinley; a special niece, Janet Boynton; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Richard, she was predeceased by six brothers and sisters.

Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Myles Cyr officiating. Interment will be at Lincoln Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Penobscot Valley Humane Society or Lincoln Area Food Cupboard.
