HOULTON – Charlotte A. Knapp, 96, died April 27, 2011, at a local hospital. She was born Feb. 9, 1915, in Cary, the daughter of Harold and Rose (Collins) Getchell.

Lottie was a lifelong member of Cary Baptist Church where she thought of the church family as her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She had a great love for fishing and was even anticipating fishing this spring at the age of 96.

Lottie is survived by five sons, James Knapp, Jerry Knapp and Cindy, all of Houlton, Peter Knapp and Barbara of Cary, Jack Knapp and Billi-Ann, and William Knapp and Renee, all of Houlton; three daughters, Jane Liston-Luce of Connecticut, Daisy Ponciw of Rhode Island and Susan Willicki of Rhode Island; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Halson; her son, Leslie “Sonny” Knapp; and daughter, Janet Sibalich.

Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday at Dunn Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday. Interment will be at North Amity Cemetery.
