CONNOR TOWNSHIP – Kevin A. Pirie, 54, has fallen asleep with the Lord April 27, 2011, surrounded by his loving family and in the comfort of his home. He was born Aug. 9, 1956, in Perth, New Brunswick, son of the late Alton and Arline (Watson) Pirie.
Kevin was a graduate of Southern Victoria County High School and attended the University of Southern Maine. His vibrant spirit touched all who were fortunate enough to have known him. Kevin always worked hard, always loved his family, and enjoyed his friends. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed his adventures thoroughly. Kevin was an active member of the Connor community, where he was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was very involved with Connor Recreation Department. He wore many hats throughout his life – he taught forestry, drove school buses, and worked his carpentry with great pride – especially his general contracting business, K. Pirie and Sons. He was a devoted and loving husband, a caring father and a great friend. He was a Little League umpire for a number of years and was a member of Knights of Columbus.
Kevin is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Beatrice (Dixon) Pirie of Connor; two sons, Jason Pirie and his wife, Jana, of Hooksett, N.H., and Matthew Pirie of Hermon; brothers and sisters, Theodore Pirie of Fredericton, New Brunswick, Cecil Pirie of Perth Andover, New Brunswick, David Pirie of Hinton, Alberta, Andrew Pirie of Pokeshaw, New Brunswick, Phillip Pirie of Tilley, New Brunswick, Alan Pirie of Rowena, New Brunswick, Connie Malm of Perth Andover, New Brunswick, Beverly Kreller of Hope, British Columbia, Evelyn Cote of Beaconsfield, New Brunswick, and Laurie Pirie of Bath, New Brunswick; one grandchild coming in September, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
