HOULTON – Katherine A. (Chamberlain) Coleman, 104, passed away peacefully April 27, 2011, at a Houlton health care facility. She was born Feb. 11, 1907, in Houlton, daughter of Albert and Anna (Dionne) Chamberlain.
Mrs. Coleman attended Houlton schools and lived for many years in Washington, D.C., and Hollywood, Fla., before returning to Houlton. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Houlton.
She is survived by a niece, Patience Anne Lenk of China, Maine; two nephews, David O’Donnell of Searsport and Richard O’Donnell of Savannah, Ga.; many great-nieces and great-nephews and their children. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Coleman; five sisters, Louise C. McPartland, Geneva F. Chamberlain, Lucy E. Chamberlain, Margaret C. Williams and Marie C. O’Donnell; two brothers, George J. Chamberlain and Morris C. Chamberlain; her niece, Carol O’Donnell Bryza; and her nephew, James F. McPartland.
A funeral will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 112 Military Road, Houlton. Interment will be at Old St. Mary’s Cemetery, Houlton.
