DEXTER – Fay Towle, 85, died April 29, 2011, at his residence as a result of an ATV accident. He was born May 2, 1925, in Dexter, a son of the late Wallace and Eula (Levenseller) Towle.

Fay worked at Fayscott Machine Shop, Dexter, and also worked for many years as a grader operator for H.E. Sargent Co. He was also a well-known strawberry farmer. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, and telling stories. Fay loved to make people laugh.

He is survived by two daughters, Betty and husband, Douglas Mills, of Dexter and Melanie and her partner, Annette Cormier, of Dexter; grandchildren, Cassandra and husband, Steve Curtis, of Dexter, Douglas Jr. and wife, Adrienne Mills, of St. Albans; one great-grandson, Scott Robinson of Dexter; two great-granddogs, Gino and Doby; a brother, Bernard Towle of Dover-Foxcroft; nieces, nephews and cousins. Fay was predeceased by his wife, Doris; and his special friend and partner, Mabel Bradford.

Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, May 9, at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
