OLD TOWN – Rachel M. Francis, 71, joined our father April 29, 2011, in heaven, after a lengthy, yet courageous battle with lung disease. She was born April 28, 1940.
Rachel, a dedicated homemaker, inspired stories of how she touched the hearts and lives of those she came in contact with. She loved bingo and spending time with her family and friends.
Rachel was a devoted wife of 42 years to Joseph S. Francis Sr., who predeceased her only two weeks ago. She is survived by her children, Susan, Troy, Chris and David; and grandchildren, Kaylie, Dakota, Sydney and Isabella. She is also survived by her sister, Connie Stinson of Vermont. Rachel blessed her family with love and kindness and will be missed by all.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. May 21 at St. John’s Catholic Church, York Street, Bangor.
