WEST CHAPMAN – Paula Kay Judkins, 71, passed away May 3, 2011, surrounded by her family, at her home. She was born July 22, 1939, in Mapleton, the daughter of Beryl Hughes Willett and stepdaughter of J.D. Willett.
Paula graduated from Mapleton High School in 1957 and married Elbridge Judkins June 11, 1959. They made their home together between Mapleton and Squa Pan Lake.
In addition to her husband of 51 years, Paula is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Beth and Eldon Jandreau of Portage Lake, Jill and Wayne Ireland of Mapleton, June and Stephen Gallant of Mapleton; five “perfect” grandchildren, Hunter Joseph Jandreau, Abigail Beryl Ireland, Lucas Wayne Ireland, Rebeckah Kay Perry and Nicolas James Gallant; one great-granddaughter, Lucy Ella Perry; and a sister, Frances Whitten of Caribou. Paula’s extended family includes Steve and Carol Williams, Lloyd and Rose Archer, and Deborah and Jim Bell. Paula was predeceased by her sisters, Dona Wood and Joyce Tomlin.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, May 12, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, with Pastor Nathan Gardiner officiating.
