MILLINOCKET and BREWER – Louise M. Pratt Hawkins, 85, went to be with her Lord May 8, 2011, with her loving family by her side. She was born Aug. 27, 1925, in Millinocket, the daughter of Clinton Haines and Mary (Cusack) Haines Dow.

Louise graduated from Stearns High School and attended First Congregational Church, Millinocket. She worked as a hair stylist, was a seamstress and quilter, and was an exceptional homemaker and cook. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends who lovingly called her “Ma.” She especially enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren and in recent years, her great-grandchildren. Louise was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was a gentle spirit who was especially kind to all.

Surviving are her daughter, Donna Andrick of Brewer; grandsons, Michael Andrick Jr. and his wife, Valerie, of Bangor and Curt Andrick and his wife, Dawn, of Warren; five great-grandchildren, Anna, Gabe, Camden, Ryan and Nathan; one sister, Anne Soucie; a sister-in-law, Sylvianne Haines, both of Millinocket; a brother-in-law, James Pratt and his wife, Anne, of Robinston; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her first husband, Donald Pratt; her second husband, John Hawkins; a son-in-law, Michael Andrick Sr.; two sisters, Carol DeCourcy and Florence Chudio; two brothers, Vernon and Clinton Haines; a special aunt, Annie Cusack; and a brother-in-law, Norman Pratt and his wife, Rita.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial service honoring her life 11 a.m. Thursday, May 12, at Hammond Street Congregational Church, Bangor, where a time of remembrance and fellowship will be held immediately afterward.
