BURLINGTON – Donaldeen Turner passed away May 11, 2011. She was born April 12, 1928, in Passadumkeag.

She taught school at a one-room schoolhouse in Grand Falls, when she met the love of her life, Marcellus Brooks Turner. They were married June 14, 1947, and lived in Burlington. They were married for 47 years and had five boys.

She was predeceased by her parents, Elgin and Irene Haynes; husband, Marcellus; and infant son, Elgin Gerry. She is survived by four sons and their wives, Elgin and Patrice of Lincoln, Terry and Kathy of Raymond, Stanley and Beth of Burlington, and Ronald and Christie of Candia, N.H.; seven grandchildren and their families, Chanda and Ryan, Casey and Christyn, Lucas and Melanie, Kelly and Mike, Brooke and Nathan, Allyson, and Alex; seven great-grandchildren, Ellen, Kate, Payson, Natalie, William, Addison and Rylee; and sisters-in-law, Katherine and Jeannette.

Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. John Fennell officiating. Interment will be at Mount Repose Cemetery. Those who wish may sign an online register and leave written condolences at
