BANGOR – Wanda E. McCormick, 86, died unexpectedly June 13, 2011, at her home. She was born June 15, 1924, in Bounemont, W.Va., daughter of Fred and Neva (Marks) Humphrey.
Wanda attended Marshall College, Huntington, W.Va. She was a member of First Congregational Church of Brewer, and Unitarian Universalist Society of Bangor. Wanda also was a member of Unitarian Universalist Women Guild, and Hammond Street Senior Center. Wanda enjoyed living at Boyd Place, and loved her cats, Alice and Henry.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert McCormick. Wanda is survived by her daughter, Anita McCormick of Bangor; several nieces and nephews; sisters, Wilma, Lynda, Freda and Rachel; and brother, Ricky.
A service of remembrance will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, June 19, at Boyd Place, Phillips-Strickland House, 21 Boyd St., Bangor.
