CORINNA – Wilbert Shann, 85, died June 12, 2011, at his residence. He was born Sept. 3, 1925, in Chester, N.J., a son of Louis and Mary (Hollenbeck) Shann.

He attended Roxbury High School, Roxbury, N.J., and served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He was a mason contractor in New Jersey, building fireplaces, stone walls, cellars and the like. He served as assistant scoutmaster in Chester, N.J., for many years. After moving to Maine, he was a member of Corinna Post American Legion No. 73, Corinna Senior Citizens and Corinna United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara (Coulson) Shann; three sons, Ronald Shann and his wife, Rochelle,

Wilbert “Gerry” Shann and his wife, Charlene, and Timothy Shann and his wife, Anita; six grandchildren, Erin, Lauren, Kurt, Meghan, Jennifer and Christopher; and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Kevin, in 2010.
