FRANKFORT – Timothy F. Kingsbury, 93, died June 25, 2011, in Bangor. He was born Oct. 15, 1917, the youngest of seven children of Lewis P. and Georgia Lane Kingsbury.

Tim served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II, and he worked as a rural carrier on five different mail routes in Waldo County. After retiring from his career as a rural carrier, he served as a Waldo County commissioner, 1981-1985. He was a member of Winterport American Legion for 59 years and a member of National Association of Retired Federal Employees.

Survivors include his wife, Edith Gamble Kingsbury of Frankfort; stepdaughter, Jean and her husband, Bob, of Frankfort; stepdaughter, Joane of Bangor; son, Joel and his partner, Sue, of Belfast; son, Mark and his wife, Diane, of Dedham; daughter, Polly of Virginia; daughter, Mary Lou and her husband, Allen, of Bucksport; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his stepson, Wayne, in 1968.

A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, June 30, in the family cemetery with Pastor Peter Remick officiating. Arrangements by Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor.
