BEVERLY, Mass., and EAST MILLINOCKET – Ellen M. (Deinstadt) Crosby, 69, passed away June 28, 2011, at Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers, Mass. Born in Beverly, Mass., she was daughter of the late Andrew and Thelma (Jones) Deinstadt.
Ellen grew up in Beverly, Mass., and was a graduate of Beverly High School, Class of 1959. She then served in the U.S. Army. For 19 years, Ellen worked in assembly at Sylvania Co. Ellen loved to play cards, Scrabble and Yahtzee.
She had a great sense of humor and a quick wit. Most of all Ellen loved her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by her four children, Shean Crosby of East Millinocket, Lori Glazier and her husband, Andrew, of Beverly, Mass., Clayton Crosby and his companion of Dudley, Mass., and Lisa Stallsmith and her husband, Barry, of Beverly, Mass.; two sisters, Patricia Frederikson and her husband, Stanley, of Wolfboro, N.H., and Sally Cole and her companion, Michael Chouinard, of Ipswich, Mass.; 10 grandchildren, Ashley Cammarata of Beverly, Mass., Lindsay Glazier of Beverly, Mass., Kurt, Benjamin and Nicole Stallsmith of Beverly, Mass., Andrew Fortin of Mattawamkeag, Kierstan Crosby of East Millinocket, Lindsey Crosby of Worcester, Mass., Corey Crosby of New Mexico and Clayton Crosby Jr. of Lincoln; and several nieces.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Friday at Calvary Chapel North Shore Church, 352 Andover St., Danvers, Mass. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Campbell-Lee, Moody Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot St., Beverly, Mass. – North Beverly location. Burial will be at North Beverly Cemetery.
